Flowery Branch made it to the AAA State Championship game!! The game was played at the Georgia Dome against the Cairo Syrupmakers. Cairo was undefeated going into the game and actually lost in the State Championship game last year......this year they returned 18 of their starters. We knew that they were going to be a tough team to beat. Before the big game, a lot of people lined the road near the school to cheer the team off to victory!!

Another great banner by the Flowery Branch Cheerleaders! I know the stands don't look too full, but actually the two sides were pretty packed. The endzone seats were the ones that were empty!!
Mason was still getting over his sickness and slept through most of the game.
The Falcons played a tough game. They were tied 14-14 going into the fourth quarter but ran out of steam and lost 28-14 to a great Cairo team!
Here are the players getting their trophy. It was an exciting football season this year. Ben and I have really enjoyed our Friday nights under the lights. Hopefully, the Falcon's will be pretty good next year!!
