Christmas in Alabama!

Two days before Christmas, we started our holiday travels by driving to Alabama to spend time with Ben's family! What would be a 3 1/2 hour trip turned into a 6 1/2 hour trip with a 3 hour stop at the Ford dealership in Rome, Georgia. Let me tell you, trying to entertain the two kids for 3 hours in a little waiting room at a Ford dealership is NO FUN! After watching Mason walking around everywhere, I did have flashbacks of me being that age and wandering around my grandfather's Ford dealership. Thankfully, they were able to fix our car that day and we were able to get to Alabama by early evening! We ate lots of good food and got to spend time with Sandra (Anmaw), Bill (Papa), and Paw Paw! Hopefully, we will be invited back since Anna Claire broke Sandra's new (and really cute) cake plate and Mason stuck a quarter in Sandra's CD player in her NEW car (and now it doesn't work). You can't take your eye off these kids for one second!

This is such a cool toy that Josh and Whitney gave to Mason. He enjoyed putting the football in the hole and letting it pop out for him to catch!

This was Anna Claire's first taste of wrapped gifts. She really took a liking to the gift tags! I think she is trying to figure things out in this picture! Don't you love the Chrismas outfit that Sandra made for Anna Claire??

Of course, Paw Paw got some quality time with Anna Claire. His arms were perfect for her long morning nap! I don't think he minded at all.....he even offered to eat breakfast later so he could keep holding her until she woke up!
As always, Ben's parents spoiled all of us! This kids LOVE all of their new toys and Ben didn't waste any time finding the perfect spot for his new Daniel Moore Alabama picture. I have also really enjoyed my new running shoes.....I have already started to put some miles on them! On Christmas Eve night, we loaded the kids up and headed home. As we were leaving, Mason said "had fun at Anmaw's house"......we all did!

The picture with Paw Paw is priceless. It's one Ben will cherish forever!
