Christmas in Seneca

On Christmas Eve, we traveled to Seneca to spend Christmas with my family. Later that night, we attended the candlelight service at Seneca Baptist. Mason was very good during the service although he fell asleep and started snoring pretty loud.
On Christmas morning, we woke up to see what Santa brought. Mason got a red wagon, tricycle, new shoes, and lots of other things. He must have been a good boy this year!
Ben pushing Mason in his new ride...
Mason did not feel so great on Christmas morning. He actually slept most of the morning. Here he is sleeping in front of the tree with all of his friends. If you will notice, he is wearing tennis shoes over his pajamas. He wanted to wear his new tennis shoes and would pitch a fit if we tried to take them off of him.

Later that afternoon, we had a quick visit with Mason's friend Walker and his family! Brooke and I laugh that the boys always look so awkward in the pictures we take of them! If you look close, you will notice that Walker is eating a lemon slice.....how funny!

We actually got a family picture of the 3 1/2 of us!!

After dinner, we enjoyed exchanging gifts. Mason is not wanting to pose for any pictures at this time.....

Can we pleeeaaassseee start opening them now???

Debra and Papa also spent Christmas Day with us. It is fun to have them around!! Mason is helping Debra open a gift!

After receiving a basketball goal from his aunt and uncle, Mason thought every gift should have a basketball. He wasn't so excited at first when he opened his first present, a tricycle, from his mom and dad. He actually kept whining "ba ball, ba ball". Way to make us feel good about the gift we got you.....

We are so lucky to have such special people to spend the holidays with. We miss those who are not with us but cherish the memories we have of them.
The day after Christmas, Ben and I traveled to Charleston for two nights. It was a nice mini-vacation! Here is one of the beautiful views from our hotel room at the Mills House.

What a nice break it has been! We had a wonderful break and look forward to the exciting changes that 2010 will bring! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
